"And it didn't stop being magic just because you found out the way it was done." Tiffany Aching
Welcome to Blue Bee Farm, a small family apiary right here in Summit County, Utah. As second-generation beekeepers, our hives are happily situated in the beautiful Wasatch back. Our bees work hard throughout the spring, summer, and fall, foraging on the diverse wildflowers of the area. This creates a honey with a unique flavor that captures the essence of the land.
Blue Bee Farm is committed to sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices. Bees and other pollinators are essential to our ecosystem and we are grateful to be a part of the beekeeping community. We work hard to create a healthy habitat for our honey bees as well as native bees. In 2023 we were awarded a grant from the State of Utah in collaboration with Utah State University to plant a native pollinator garden to help support native pollinators.
If you are looking for local honey, or interested in learning more about bees, let me know! I am always happy to talk bees and honey.
The Beekeeper
I am fascinated with the science and magic of bees. I have completed the Apprentice and Journeyman level beekeeping courses at the University of Montana, and am working towards becoming a Master Beekeeper. I enjoy inspecting my hives, harvesting honey, and learning about these incredible insects. I spend a lot of time thinking about bees. There is no place quite like the apiary: the hum of the bees, the warm sun, and the scent of wax and honey creates a truly magical experience.

The Ladies
All of the worker bees in a hive are female. They account for approximately 95% of the bees in a colony. They perform the majority of tasks inside and outside of the hive, including collecting nectar, pollen, propolis and making honey.
